Golikova presented the first results of the national project "New technologies for preserving health"

In total, the national project includes five federal projects: “Management of Medical Science”, “Medical Development Technologies”, “Biomedical and Cognitive Technologies of the Future”, “Regenerative Biomedicine, Preventive Medicine Technologies, Ensuring Active and Healthy Longevity”, “Development of the Production of the Most Popular Medicines and Medical Products”.

Since the start of the implementation of the Medical Science Management project, it has been possible to form a list of areas for the development of medical research and a priority group of diseases and conditions for which the selection of medical technologies, products and drugs is planned. At the first stage of implementation (2025-2027), clinical trials of nine original drugs for the treatment of oncological, cardiovascular and other diseases, clinical trials of 21 medical products for surgery, traumatology and cardiology were supported.

The approved projects include the development and implementation into practice of eight medical technologies and medical devices that are planned to be used in neurodegenerative diseases and cognitive impairments, eight biomedical technologies for the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.

During the specified period, work is planned on the implementation into practice of three bioprinting technologies and three types of individualized drugs for the treatment of oncological diseases, as well as the development and implementation of five new technologies aimed at active longevity and the prevention of cell aging.

According to Golikova, seven biomedical cell products and tissue engineering products will be introduced for regenerative biomedicine – for the treatment of infertility in men, the consequences of injuries to large joints, and the spinal cord.

“Funds have been fully allocated for equipping and re-equipping eight clinical bases in 2025 for testing new medical technologies, clinical trials of drugs and clinical trials of medical devices,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

During the national project, it is expected to increase the share of domestic production in the field of vital and essential drugs to 90%, and medical products - to 40%. In February 2025, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Dmitry Pyshny noted that more than 666 million rubles will be allocated to the federal project "Biomedical and cognitive technologies of the future" this year. Financing of the federal project "Preventive medicine technologies and ensuring active longevity" was estimated at 370 million rubles, then annually - about 400 million rubles.

According to the Russian Government, more than 400 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget in 2025 for three new national projects related to healthcare development: “Long and Active Life,” “Family” (the federal project “Protection of Motherhood and Childhood”), and “New Health-Saving Technologies.” Vademecum analyzed the budget and activities of the projects.
